Tire Low Pressure Sensor: Installation

- Clean the component mating faces.
- Install the tire low pressure sensor.
- Install the tire and balance the wheel.
- Install the wheel and tire. See Wheel and Tire .
- Install the wheel trim.
CAUTION:
Do not use compressed air to clean the sensor. Do not clean the sensor with solvents or cleaning agents of any type, use a clean dry cloth.
CAUTION:
Do not apply any lubricant to the new valve.
NOTE:
If the sensor is replaced on a 'running' wheel, the new sensor identification will be learned in the first 15 minutes of the vehicle is being driven. If a new sensor is fitted to the spare wheel the identification for that sensor must be programmed into the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) module using WDS. The identification code is provided on a label with the complete assembly and is also printed on the sensor assembly.
