Crankshaft Pulley: Installation

  1. Apply RTV sealant to the crankshaft pulley keyway.

    2. CAUTION: Install a new friction washer before installing the crankshaft pulley.
    NOTE: Make sure to clean the threads in the end of the crankshaft and that the crank nose is free of any foreign materials.

  10. Apply loctite 270 to the thread of the bolts.

    11. WARNING: Make sure that a new bolt is installed.

  14. Torque: 65 Nm

    15. NOTE: The graphic shows the tool position for LH thread only, RH thread will be the opposite.
  15. Using a suitable stand, support the special tool.

  16. Torque: 200 Nm

    17. NOTE: The use of a torque multiplyer capable of 600Nm will be required.
    • Torque: 270°
    • Make sure that the socket is turned through 270 degrees not the torque wrench.
