Brake Disc - XK-RS Gt: Removal

WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials can be harmful if inhaled.
WARNING: Brake pads must be renewed in axle sets only. Failure to follow this instruction may result in braking efficiency being impaired.
CAUTION: Take care not to contaminate the brake pad friction materials or the brake discs.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
    WARNING: WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove 2 opposing wheel nuts.

    Torque: 125 Nm

  3. Install the wheel guide tools. (Located in the vehicle tool kit.)

    Torque: 20 Nm

    4. CAUTION: The brake disc can be easily damaged. Take extra care when removing and installing the wheel.
  4. Remove the remaining wheel nuts and slide the wheel and tire over the guide tools.

    Torque: 125 Nm

    5. CAUTION: The brake disc can be easily damaged. Do not strike or lever on the brake disc.
    CAUTION: Do not allow the caliper to hang from the brake hose.
    CAUTION: Discard the bolts.
  5. Torque: 115 Nm

    6. CAUTION: The brake disc can be easily damaged. Do not drop the brake disc.

  7. Repeat this procedure for the other side.
