Carbon Ceramic Brakes Bedding-In: Activation

WARNING: The procedure described in this document is best carried out on closed roads. If it is not possible to carry it out on closed roads then it should be adapted to best suit the road conditions. Do not exceed the legal speed limits. Obey all road safety instructions at all times. Safety is the responsibility of the driver at all times.
    NOTE: Correct any wheel balance issues before carrying out the CCM brake bedding in procedure.
  1. Carry out road test under normal driving conditions. If brake judder is apparent proceed to Step 2.
    2. NOTE: The CCM brake bedding in procedure must be carried out over a minimum distance of 30 miles (48 km).
  2. Apply gentle braking from approximately 50mph to 19mph (80kph to 30kph.) Repeat 20 times allowing approximately 1.5 miles (2km) between controlled braking applications.
