Pedestrian Protection Hood Actuator LH: Removal

  1. Make the pedestrian protection system safe.
  2. Remove the pollen filter. Refer to Pollen Filter information.
  3. Release the power distribution box and position aside.
    • Remove the 2 Torx screws.

  4. Release the pedestrian protection actuator bracket.
    • Release the 3 wiring harness clips.
    • Remove the 4 bolts.
  5. Remove the pedestrian protection actuator and bracket.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

  6. Remove the pedestrian protection actuator.
    • Remove and discard the 4 Torx bolts.
