Side Air Bag Module: Installation

  1. Install the side air bag module.
    • Attach the backrest cover.
    • Tighten the new nuts to 7 Nm (5 lb.ft).
    • Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Secure the front seat backrest cover central tension straps.
    • Attach to the seat frame.
  3. Secure the front seat backrest cover lower retaining clips.
    • Attach to the seat frame.
  4. Secure the front seat backrest cover rear panel retaining clips.
    • Attach to the seat frame.
    • Attach to the backrest cover.
  5. Secure the front seat backrest cover lower tension straps.
    • Attach to the seat frame.
  6. Install the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT information.
  7. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS information.
