Rear Shock Absorber: Removal

    All vehicles 

    WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Refer to WHEEL AND TIRE - Removal and Installation.

    3. Vehicles with convertible top 

  3. Refer to LOADSPACE TRIM PANEL - VEHICLES WITH: CONVERTIBLE TOP information.

    4. Vehicles without convertible top 

  4. Refer to LOADSPACE TRIM PANEL - VEHICLES WITHOUT: CONVERTIBLE TOP information.

    5. All vehicles 

  5. Torque: 27 Nm

    6. CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.
    CAUTION: Make sure the alignment mark points towards the front of the vehicle.
  6. Torque: 133 Nm

    • Make sure that the spring and shock absorber assembly is installed to the spring compressor with the alignment mark facing upwards.

    9. CAUTION: Take extra care when handling the component.
    CAUTION: Note the fitted position of the component prior to removal.
  9. Torque: 27 Nm
