Drive Pinion Seal: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Refer to Driveshaft - TD4 2.2L Diesel information. Refer to Driveshaft - V6 3.0L Petrol information. Refer to Driveshaft - V8 5.0L Petrol/V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol information. Refer to Driveshaft - TDV6 3.0L Diesel information.
- Measure the depth of the pinion nut on the pinion shaft.

Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
NOTE:
Measure for installation.
NOTE:
Accurately scribe a line to mark the drive pinion shaft to the drive pinion nut and pinion flange.
NOTE:
Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
