Differential Case: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Refer to Rear Halfshaft - 5.0L NA V8 - AJ133/5.0L SC V8 - AJ133 information.
- Refer to Exhaust System information.
- Torque: 7 Nm
- Torque: 10 Nm

- Support the rear differential casing.
- Torque:
M14 190 Nm
M12 90 Nm

WARNING:
Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
WARNING:
Make sure the axle assembly is supported.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the joint or gaiter, do not allow the driveshaft to hang.
NOTE:
Make sure that the special tool is correctly installed to the recess on the driveshaft.

Using a suitable hammer and drift, make sure that you only hit the corner edges of the special tool to remove the driveshaft.
