Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor: Removal

    WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Refer to Engine Cover - 5.0L information.
  3. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Vacuum Filling - Vehicles Without: Supercharger information.
    • Lift the tang and rotate the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor counter-clockwise.
