Refer to the appropriate electrical circuit wiring diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the engine control module and instrument cluster
Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the appropriate electrical circuit wiring diagrams and check the CAN network between the engine control module and instrument cluster. Clear diagnostic trouble code and retest
Check steering column lock operation
If no wiring or electrical fault evident, advise customer of correct starting sequence
