Ensure all keys to be programmed are available
Check power and ground supplies to instrument cluster, start control unit. Clear diagnostic trouble code and retest
Check and replace faulty key as required
Check CAN network for noise/electromagnetic compatibility related issues. Ensure that the vehicle is away from sources of electromagnetic interference prior to clearing diagnostic trouble codes and retesting
