The brake pedal switch is mounted on the brake pedal bracket. One of the prerequisites for releasing the EPB is that the foot brake is applied. The brake pedal switch is connected to the CJB via a hardwired connection. When the foot brake is applied, the CJB sends a message to the EPBCM on the HS CAN powertrain systems bus.
