Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

  2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  3. Refer to: Engine Oil Draining and Filling  (Engine - V6 S/C 3.0L Petrol, General Procedures).

    • Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
    • Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
