Front Muffler (G1269297): Removal

WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  2. Refer to: REAR MUFFLER (G1269298) .
  3. CAUTION:
    • Make sure that the exhaust system is supported with suitable retaining straps.
    • Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.
    NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.

    Torque Specification: 55 Nm 

  4. CAUTION: Make sure that the exhaust system is supported with suitable retaining straps.
    G11292530

    Torque Specification: 9 Nm 

  5. CAUTION: Make sure that the exhaust system is supported with suitable retaining straps.
    NOTE:
    • Apply lubricant to the exhaust mount to aid installation.
    • This step requires the aid of another technician.

    Torque Specification: 30 Nm
