Rear Wheel Unlocker (RWU)

The RWU mode is used if the ABS control module cannot operate the brakes or achieves a minimum deceleration rate, but still supplies wheel speed signals to the EPBCM. The wheel speed inputs allow the EPBCM to adjust the clamp load on the rear brakes as necessary to produce maximum deceleration without locking the wheels. When vehicle speed decreases to 2 mph (3 km/h), the EPBCM fully applies the park brake.
