Shock Absorber And Spring Assembly (G1002034): Assembly

  1. CAUTION: Make sure the spring ends butt correctly against the spring seats.

    Install the shock absorber and spring assembly to the special tool.

  2. WARNING: AS THE SPRING IS UNDER EXTREME TENSION CARE MUST BE TAKEN AT ALL TIMES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

    Clamp the road spring.

  3. G11589933

    Vehicles without adaptive damping.

    Install a new retaining nut.

    Tighten to 50 Nm.

  4. G11589934

    Vehicles with adaptive damping.

    Install a new retaining nut.

    Tighten to 27 Nm.

  5. G11589935

    Release the road spring.

  6. G11589936

    Remove the shock absorber and spring assembly from the special tool.
