Passenger Air Bag Module (G1005905): Installation

WARNING: The original air bag wiring harness, as supplied with the vehicle, must be fitted to the new air bag module.
- Install the air bag wiring harness.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
CAUTION:
- The attached animation must be watched before installing the air bag module.
- Do not use excessive force on the instrument panel when removing the air bag module.
Using the attached animation for reference install the passenger air bag module.
Install the air bag module nuts.

Torque Specification: 6 Nm
Install the air duct front screw.
Connect and install the air bag module electrical connector.
Install the air bag module earth harness.

Torque Specification: 9 Nm
Install the humidity sensor.
1. Connect the 2 register electrical connectors and install the centre register.
2. Install the 6 center register screws.
1. Install the instrument cluster trim.
2. Install the 3 instrument cluster trim screws.
3. Install the protective cover to the instrument cluster.
Install the drivers side register trim.
CAUTION: Make sure the instrument panel is correctly aligned to the locating pegs before tightening the screws.

Install the instrument panel screws.

Torque Specification: 9 Nm
1. Install the instrument panel rear bolt.
  Torque Specification: 9 Nm
2. Install the instrument panel trim cover.
NOTE: Make sure the A-pillar trim center clip is correctly located.

Insall the A-pillar trim.
Install the A-pillar trim bolt and cover.

Torque Specification: 6 Nm
NOTE: Make sure the glove compartment is supported when connecting the electircal connectors.
1. Install the glove compartment assembly.
2. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
3. Install the glove compartment bulb to the holder.
CAUTION: Fixings must be started by hand to avoid damaging threads.

Install the glove compartment bolts.

Torque Specifications:

M8 2.5 Nm

T27 9 Nm
Install the clips into the instrument panel.
NOTE: Make sure the passenger fascia side clip is correctly located on the instrument panel.

Install the passenger fascia.
Install the passenger fascia bolts.
Install the instrument panel trim finisher clips.
Connect the electrical connectors and install the instrument panel trim finisher.
1. Install the instrument panel end trim.
2. Install the passenger side door seal.
Install the passenger footwell upper trim.
Connect the battery ground cable.
