Inspection And Verification

CAUTION: Diagnosis by substitution from a donor vehicle is NOT acceptable. Substitution of control modules does not guarantee confirmation of a fault, and may also cause additional faults in the vehicle being tested and/or the donor vehicle

NOTE: Prior to any testing or inspection, the vehicle should be check for any relevant warning lamps being illuminated. If a warning lamp is illuminated, check for DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC Index, if no warning lamp is illuminated, continue with diagnostic procedures below

Verify the customer concern

Visually inspect for obvious signs of damage and system integrity

Electric park brake actuator(s) Brake caliper Brake discs/pads Electric park brake control module mounting	Fuse(s) Wiring harness/electrical connectors Check for bent/corroded electric park brake control module connector pins Electric park brake switch Electric park brake control module CAN circuit

If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step
If the cause is not visually evident, check the anti-lock braking system and steering rotation sensor modules for DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
