Removal And Installation: Removal

All vehicles 

    WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION: Using power tools may result in damage to the wheel nuts. Make sure the wheel nuts are released using hand tools only.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire.

    Vehicles with carbon ceramic brakes 

    3. CAUTION: Using power tools may result in damage to the wheel nuts. Make sure the wheel nuts are released using hand tools only.
  3. Remove 2 opposing wheel nuts.

    4. NOTE: On vehicles fitted with carbon ceramic brake discs, remove two opposing wheel nuts and install the wheel guide pins supplied with the vehicle tool kit.
  4. See figure:

    5. CAUTION: Using power tools may result in damage to the wheel nuts. Make sure the wheel nuts are released using hand tools only.
  5. Remove the remaining wheel nuts and slide the wheel and tire over the guide tools.

  6. Remove the road wheel.
