- Check mechanical functions of column and solenoid pin
- Refer to the appropriate electrical circuit wiring diagrams and check the telescope solenoid and switch circuits for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair wiring harness as required. Clear diagnostic trouble code and retest
- If no circuit faults are present, check and install new solenoid or switch as required. Clear diagnostic trouble code and retest
