Removal And Installation: Removal

Make the pedestrian protection system safe

  1. See Figure
    G11523934

    Remove the air intake cover.

    • Remove the 3 clips.
  2. Release the pedestrian protection actuator bracket.
    • Release the 3 wiring harness clips.
    • Remove the 4 bolts.

    Remove the pedestrian protection actuator and bracket.

    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. See Figure
    G11523936

    Remove the anti - theft alarm horn.

    • Loosen but do not remove the 2 nuts.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
