The CJB automatically arms and disarms the active anti - theft system when it operates the CLS. The CJB also locks and unlocks the electric steering column lock (where fitted) when it operates the CLS.
On vehicles without intrusion detection modules, only the perimeter mode is available to monitor the hinged panels and the validity of the smart key.
When perimeter mode is active, the CJB monitors panel ajar microswitches located in the latch mechanisms of the driver and passenger doors and the liftgate. A separate hood ajar microswitch, located in the engine compartment, monitors the hood status.
When volumetric mode is active, the CJB monitors the interior of the vehicle for movement using the two intrusion detection modules.
