Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Clean and inspect the components for deterioration.
  2. NOTE: Align to the position noted on removal.
  3. Install the CV joint boot.

    • Secure the clip.
  4. Install the circlip.
  5. NOTE: Check that the circlip is fully engaged.
  6. Install the outer CV joint.

  7. CAUTION: Only use lubricants meeting the Jaguar specification.
  8. Pack the CV joint with the grease supplied.

  9. CAUTION: Ensure enough air is present in the CV boot before the retaining clip is secured.
  10. Install the CV joint boot to the CV joint.

    • Secure the clip.
  11. Install the halfshaft.
