General Procedures: Part(S): Check

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.
- Clean the area around the lubricant filler plug.
- Position container to collect fluid loss.
- Clean the area around the drain plug.
- Remove the fluid drain plug.
- Drain the differential lubricant.
ADJUSTMENT
- Clean the drain plug.
- Torque Specification: 27 Nm

CAUTION:

Do not fill the differential with lubricant up to the filler plug. The filler plug is only used to fill the differential with lubricant, and not to act as a level indicator.
Make sure the correct specification and quantity of oil is used.

- Fill the differential with the correct amount of lubricant.
- Install a new differential fluid drain plug
  Renew Part: Rear differential drain plug.
- Torque Specification: 27 Nm
