Wash/Wipe Cycle

Check the washer operation as follows:

Press the button at the end of the RH multifunction switch to commence the wash/wipe cycle.
With the button pressed, check that the wipers operate during the washing action.
Release the wash button and check that further cleaning wipes occur, followed by a pause of a few seconds and then a final drip wipe (if configured).

NOTE:

To reduce washer fluid consumption and eliminate a fluid trial on the windshield, the washers will only operate on the up stroke of the wiper arms (if configured). To check the head lamp power wash function, make sure the dipped beam headlamps are switched on when operating the windshield washers.
If the button is pressed and held, the washers will operate at normal speeds until the button is released (or for a maximum of 10 seconds). After the button is released, the wipers will operate for a further three wipes, followed by a drip wipe (if configured). If the wipers are already operating at normal or fast speed, operating the washers will not affect the wiper operation.
