Windshield Washer And Wipers: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 12 other vehicles, including the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S, 2015 Jaguar XKR, 2015 Jaguar XK, 2014 Jaguar XKR-S, and 2014 Jaguar XKR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Damage to vehicle. To avoid contaminating the wiper blades, the KATS transit coating MUST be removed from the windshield prior to checking operation of the wipers.
Make sure an adequate amount of water is present on the windshield when checking the wiper system, to reduce friction and prevent damage to the wiper blades.
In freezing or very hot conditions, ensure that the wipers have not stuck to the windscreen before operating. The drag on the wiper mechanism may cause damage.
NOTE: If the wiper blades become stuck or jammed, an electronic cut-out may temporarily halt wiper action. If this happens, switch off the wipers and the ignition. Clear any obstructions and free the wiper blades, before attempting to switch on the ignition.

Remove any KATS transit coating from the windshield using the specified materials and procedure, refer to 'FINAL PREPARATION -  REMOVAL OF KATS TRANSIT COATING  '.  Clean the windshield completely using Jaguar Screen Clean Paste.
