Emergency Equipment: Notes
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 12 other vehicles, including the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S, 2015 Jaguar XKR, 2015 Jaguar XK, 2014 Jaguar XKR-S, and 2014 Jaguar XKR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Some emergency items are compulsory in certain countries and will be delivered with the vehicle. Make sure the following emergency equipment items (where applicable) are installed correctly and are ready for emergency use:
Fire extinguisher - If a dealer fitted fire extinguisher is required, install the fire extinguisher in accordance with the instructions supplied with the fire extinguisher kit.
Where a factory fitted fire extinguisher is installed, carry out the following:
- Remove the extinguisher from the bracket and make sure the outlet nozzle is clear and unobstructed.
- Make sure any attached clips or safety devices are secure.
- If a pressure gauge is installed to the extinguisher, make sure the gauge is registering the correct pressure within the limits set on the gauge.
- Install the fire extinguisher into the bracket.
First aid kit - Make sure a first aid kit is present with the vehicle and is in an untampered sealed state.
Warning triangle - A high visibility warning triangle is installed inside the luggage compartment.
Check the warning triangle as follows:
- Remove the warning triangle from the luggage compartment.
- Make sure the warning triangle is undamaged and will stand correctly.
- Install the warning triangle in the luggage compartment.
