Operation Pressures
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 12 other vehicles, including the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S, 2015 Jaguar XKR, 2015 Jaguar XK, 2014 Jaguar XKR-S, and 2014 Jaguar XKR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The vehicle is delivered with the tire pressures set higher than the normal operating pressures. Set the tire pressures to 2.0 bar (29psi) for the road test.
Initially drop each tire pressure to approximately 0.1 - 0.3 bar (2 - 4psi) below the recommended pressure then inflate the tires to the desired pressure.
CAUTION:
When the tire pressures are reduced from the high transit/storage pressure to the road test pressures, the final pressure will rise. The initial high drop in pressure from transit/storage pressure to normal pressure will cause the tire pressure to rise after 2 minutes, giving incorrect tire pressures by up to 0.4 bar (6psi).
Initially drop each tire pressure to approximately 2-4psi below the recommended pressure and then inflate the tires to the desired pressure.
CAUTION:
If the vehicle is returned to storage after the PDI, the tire pressures must be raised to 3.60 bar (52psi).
