Navigation System Setup

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 12 other vehicles, including the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S, 2015 Jaguar XKR, 2015 Jaguar XK, 2014 Jaguar XKR-S, and 2014 Jaguar XKR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The navigation system map DVD and language for the applicable country will require setting before use. Once setup, test the navigation system during the road test. The procedure below is used to load the applicable navigation system map DVD and set the required language.

The navigation system (if installed) comprises the Touch-Screen Display (TSD) unit that is located in the center console, and the navigation computer that is located in the luggage compartment.

The map DVDs are supplied with the vehicle literature pack. There are 2 map DVD's for NAS. Make sure the correct disc for the region is selected.

Do not attempt to load two discs into the unit.  Place the DVD case and unused discs in the driver seat rear pocket.

NOTE: The navigation system measurement units are set when the vehicle settings are setup. The language setting is not shared between the vehicle settings and navigation system and therefore requires setting independently.

Setting up the navigation system:

This symbol normally indicates poor signal reception but also appears if the system requires initialization, such as after transportation (the map location will also be shown incorrect).
  13. Leave the vehicle ignition switched on for 15 minutes.
