Check and Top-Up Procedure

  1. Oil level 50% to 100% of recommended level. No top up required.
  2. Oil Level 12.5% to 50% of recommended level. Add 0.5 liters (0.9 UK pints) of oil and re-check.
  3. Oil level 0% to 12.5% of recommended level. Add 1 litre (1.8 UK pints) of oil and re-check
  4. Oil level above the maximum for safe operation. Engine oil will have to be drained before driving the vehicle.
  5. Oil level below the minimum for safe operation. Add 1 litre (1.8 UK pints) and re-check.
    1. Oil drain down in progress, oil level not available. Wait 5 minutes then re-check the oil level display.
    2. If this message is accompanied by the warning message 'Engine oil level monitor system fault',  a fault with the oil level monitor system is indicated. Use SDD to establish and rectify the fault, refer to 'PREPARATION  - SYMPTOM DRIVEN DIAGNOSTICS (SDD) '.
