Check/Top-Up Coolant: Notes

The coolant level is recommended to be checked with the engine switched off and completely cold. Only use the recommended coolant, mixed with clean water to the correct concentration.

The coolant level 'MAX' and 'MIN'  indicators are located on the outside of the reservoir.

For protection to -40°C (-40°F), the correct concentration is 50% long life coolant (to specification WSS M97B44) and 50% water.

WARNING: RISK OF INJURY. DO NOT REMOVE THE RESERVOIR CAP WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT. PRESSURIZED HOT COOLANT WILL EJECT RAPIDLY FROM THE RESERVOIR CAUSING SERIOUS BURNS. RISK OF INJURY. DO NOT ALLOW ANTIFREEZE TO CONTACT THE SKIN OR EYES. WASH AFFECTED AREAS IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER. IF SWALLOWED SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.
CAUTION: Damage to paintwork. Take care when filling the system with coolant. Antifreeze is a corrosive substance and will damage vehicle paintwork. Only use the specified coolant. Do not mix long life coolant with other types of coolant.
