Starter Motor (G1550220): Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

    Refer to Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).

  2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

    Raise and support the vehicle.

  3. Refer to Intake Manifold (Removal and Installation).

    Torque Specifications: 

    M8 10 Nm 

    M6 6 Nm 

  5. NOTE: Vehicles with stop/start (TSS).

    Torque Specification: 10 Nm 

  6. NOTE: Vehicles with stop/start (TSS).

  7. G11416483

    Torque Specification: 9 Nm 

  8. G11416484

    Torque Specification: 40 Nm
