G240070t5 : CARRY OUT AN ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR COMPONENT CHECK

  1. Remove the accelerator pedal. For additional information, refer to
  2. Measure the resistance between pin 1 and pin 6 of the accelerator pedal.
  3. Measure the resistance between pin 4 and pin 5 of the accelerator pedal.
    • Is the resistance between pin 1 and pin 6 between 546 and 1134 ohms, and between pin 4 and pin 5 between 975 and 2025 ohms? 
  1. -> Yes :  GO to G240070t6 : CHECK THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEMAND SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND .
  2. -> No :  INSTALL a new accelerator pedal. For additional information, refer to CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
