Brake Pads - Vehicles With: Standard Brakes, VIN Range: G00442->G45703 (70.40.03): Removal

    CAUTION: Whilst carrying out rear parking brake related service procedures, the tension on the rear parking brake release actuator will need to be released. Failure to follow this instruction may result in the parking brake to function incorrectly or become inoperative.
  1. Carry out the parking brake cable tension release.

  2. Remove both rear wheels and tires.

  3. NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
  4. Detach the brake caliper.
    1. Remove and discard the brake caliper retaining bolts.
    2. Detach the brake caliper.

  5. CAUTION: The brake caliper must be supported at all times.
    NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.

  6. Using a suitable tie strap, secure the caliper to one side.
  7. NOTE: Left-hand shown, right-hand similar.
  8. Remove the brake pads.
    • Remove the brake pad anti-rattle spring plates.
