G240070t7 : CHECK THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEMAND SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect the ECM electrical connector PI 1 and the accelerator pedal electrical connector CA 88.
  2. Measure the resistance between PI1 pin 103 (O) and CA 88 pin 1 (O). 3. Measure the resistance between PI1 pin 102 (B) and CA 88 pin 4 (B).
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
  1. -> Yes :  DIAGNOSE the electronic engine control system. For additional information, refer to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - 3.5L/4.2L (2003.5-09) .
  2. -> No :  REPAIR the accelerator pedal demand sensor circuit from the ECM to the accelerator pedal. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
