Brake Booster (70.50.17): Removal

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the brake master cylinder.

    For additional information, refer to BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER - 3.0L/3.5L/4.2L (70.30.08)

  2. Vehicles built up to VIN:G45703 

  3. Disconnect the brake booster pedal travel sensor and brake booster solenoid electrical connectors.

    Vehicles built from VIN:G45704 

    NOTE: Vehicles with 3.0L and 3.5L engines.
  4. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.

  5. All vehicles 

  6. Remove the brake booster retaining nut.

  7. NOTE: The non-return valve and vacuum pipe assembly should be removed with the brake booster.
    NOTE: Remove and discard the brake booster/pedal box gasket.

  8. Remove the brake booster.
