Brake Master Cylinder: Installation

Install seals into master cylinder.
- Remove plugs.
- Lubricate seals with clean brake fluid.
- Install seals.

Install fluid reservoir to master cylinder.
- Remove plugs from reservoir
- Install reservoir, making sure reservoir is fully seated.
- Install locating pin.

Install master cylinder to brake booster.
- Install seal.
- Install master cylinder, make sure master cylinder rod locates brake booster rod.

Install and tighten nuts to 21-29 Nm.

Install pedal housing, brake booster and master cylinder assembly. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL AND BRACKET, BRAKE BOOSTER AND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER .
Install plenum cover. Refer to COWL VENT SCREEN .
Install windshield wiper arm and blade assembly. Refer to WIPER PIVOT ARM .
Reconnect battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY RECONNECTION PROCEDURE .
Bleed brake system. Refer to BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
Remove paint-work protection covers and close engine compartment.
