Instrument Cluster: Installation

Fit and align printed circuit to instrument pack. Fit and align speedometer/tachometer gauge set to instrument pack. DO NOT damage gauge needles in handling. Push gauge pins CAREFULLY through printed circuit. DO NOT press down on crimps, as distortion may occur. Press on flat tangs set at right angles to crimp.
NOTE: If pins appear loose in crimps causing a potentially poor connection, remove gauge set and pinch crimps together with a pair of pliers. Take great care not to damage crimps or printed circuit. If damage occurs or any problem arises caused by loose connections, install NEW printed circuit.
Install battery/fuel gauge set and oil/water temperature gauge set. Before installing veneer panel, zero all gauge needles. Install and align veneer panel. Install and tighten center securing screw. Install cowl/lens assembly. Install and tighten remaining veneer panel securing screws. Install and fully seat warning bulbs.
Connect printed circuit multiplug to LCD unit. Carefully install electronics pack over printed circuit connection and locate into hinges. Pivot pack downward and install into securing clips. Align and install cover to electronics pack. Install and tighten securing screws. Attach housing to pack and secure with screws.
Install instrument pack assembly into position and connect multiplugs. Align assembly and install and tighten screws. Return steering wheel to original position and refit dash liner. Reconnect battery.
