EGR Valve Housing

EGR Valve Replacement:

NOTE: Number references in text specify numbered components in image.

1. Loosen union nut attaching transfer pipe to union gland.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose (1) from EGR valve.
3. Remove valve mounting nuts (2) and lift valve from engine.
4. Finish detaching union nut from gland. Lift housing and gaskets from engine.
5. Remove transfer pipe union gland from housing.
5. Reverse procedure to install new housing. Replace gaskets and use these torque specifications:

EGR Valve To Housing:
17 - 20 ft lb (23 - 27 Nm)

Union Gland To Housing:
28 - 31 ft lb (38 - 42 Nm)

Transfer Pipe To Gland:
28 - 31 ft lb (38 - 42 Nm)
