Hydraulic System - Valve Block Leak

Valve Block Leaking - Loose Port Plug - Tighten with Special Tool

An external fluid leak from the hydraulic valve block may occur from the threaded plug at the rear of the valve block, (Fig. 1).






ACTION:

If a leak occurs, tighten the plug using the following procedure:

^ Leave the valve block mounted in the vehicle.

^ Disconnect the high tension lead from the ignition coil tower.

^ Using special tool JAG 1512, tighten the plug to 8 ft.lbs.

^ Connect the ignition coil high tension lead.

^ Inspect/refill the hydraulic fluid reservoir. Use only the recommended Castrol HSMO.
