Removal (XJS)

  1. Loosen steering wheel adjustment lock nut. Grasp wheel and pull outward to the maximum extended position. Remove 2 horn pad-to-steering wheel mounting screws, then lift pad from wheel.
  2. Place front wheels in straight ahead position. Engage steering column lock. Make sure key is removed. Remove the horn contact (rod) from upper column. Take off steering wheel mounting nut. Tap steering wheel off column. Do not lose split pins.
