Preliminary Procedures
- Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling
.
- Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the rear door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement .

Rear Side Door Upper Hinge Bolt (Qty: 2)
Procedure
- Remove the water deflector.
- Support the door before removing the hinge bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the door.
Tighten:
25 N.m (18 lb ft)

Rear Side Door Lower Hinge Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten:
25 N.m (18 lb ft)

Rear Side Door Assembly Procedure
- When replacing the door it is necessary to transfer all of the internal components.
- Apply LOCTITE® Blue GM P/N 12345382, or (Canadian P/N 10953489), or equivalent to the fastener prior to installation.
