Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Split Bench Seat Replacement  or Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement .

  4. Remove the seat adjuster cable (3) from the seat adjuster (2).
  5. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball (1) though the round opening.
  6. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to remove the cable from the opposite side of the seat.
  7. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the front of the seat cushion frame enough to expose the front seat cushion frame mounting nuts. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

  8. Loosen the seat cushion frame mounting nuts (1) to raise the frame enough to slide the cable out from between the seat cushion frame and the seat adjuster.
