Reaction Gear Set Removal

    IMPORTANT: The output shaft retainer ring (661) can not be reused, it must be replaced.
  1. Use snap ring pliers remove the output shaft to retainer ring (661).
  2. Fig 2: Identifying Input Carrier Assembly

    IMPORTANT: The carrier assembly (662) can be a 4 or 5 pinion design depending on model.
  3. Remove the input carrier assembly (662) and remove the thrust bearing assembly (663).

  5. Remove the input internal gear (664) and the reaction carrier shaft assembly (666).

  7. Remove the thrust washer (669) and the reaction sun shell (670).
