Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Isuzu i-370, 2007 GMC Canyon, and 2007 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

    IMPORTANT: Ensure the ignition coil seals are properly seated to the camshaft cover.
  1. Install the ignition coils into the camshaft cover.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the ignition coil bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Attach the engine wiring harness conduit to the camshaft cover.

  7. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the intake CMP sensor.

  9. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors to the ignition coils.

  11. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors to the following:
    • The fuel injector harness (1)
    • The HO2S (2)
    • The ECT sensor (3)

  13. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (1, 4) to the following:
    • The exhaust CMP sensor (5)
    • The CMP actuator solenoid valve (6)
  14. Connect the engine wiring harness retainer (2) to the camshaft cover (3).

  16. Connect the engine wiring harness retainers (1) to the power steering pump (2).

  18. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the oil pressure sensor (2).
  19. Install the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement .
