Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Isuzu i-370, 2007 GMC Canyon, and 2007 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle only high enough to access the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve through the wheelhouse. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .

  4. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service  in order to disconnect the following from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (3):
    • The EVAP purge hose/pipe
    • The EVAP purge hose (1)

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.

  8. Remove the bolt securing EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to the engine.
  9. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve from the engine.
