Installation Procedure

Place the water pump drive pulley in position on the intake camshaft.

Install the water pump pulley onto the intake camshaft using the J 38823 . See Special Tools . During installation, the tool will bottom out on the camshaft at the proper depth.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the camshaft end cap.
Tighten: Tighten the cap to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
Install the water pump drive belt. Refer to Water Pump Belt Replacement .
