Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose/Pipe Replacement

Surge Tank Hose/Pipe Replacement - Inlet

Callout Component Name
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Drain only the fluid from the radiator surge tank.
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill)  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill) .
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
1 Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Pipe Nuts (Qty: 2)
Tip:  Using J 38185  , position the radiator surge tank hose clamps aside and remove the hose from the radiator surge tank and engine. See Special Tools .
