Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the C2 harness connector at the appropriate window motor.
  2. Test for less than 2.0 ohms of resistance between the ground circuit terminal 4 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. Test for 5.5-7.0 volts between the LIN circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the LIN circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the applicable door module.
    • If less than the specified range, test the LIN circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the applicable door module.
  5. Ignition OFF, reconnect the harness connector at the window motor.
  6. Ignition ON, observe the appropriate scan tool Front Window Motor Fault Status parameter while raising and lower the window. The parameter should read No Fault.
    • If the parameter displays Not Normalized, refer to Control Module References for programming the window motors.
    • If the parameter reads Motor Fault, Hall Fault, Memory Fault, LIN Fault, Anti-Trap Fault or Thermo Active, test or replace the appropriate power window motor.
  7. If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate door module.
